◆ President's Message Hello Heartland Of Raider Nation, I pray all is well in our Raider Family. On January 1st, 2024, I accepted the position of Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders. The only reasons I took the position was because of the uncertainty of the future of the SCBCR and because of what Morris Bradshaw meant to me. In our 2 ½ years we have built the SCBCR to 18 clubs, we had our first 2 Commitment To Excellence Award dinners in Las Vegas, and at our last home game in 2025 we were able to go on the field and present Maxx Crosby the CTE plaque. We are set to once again present the plaque to the 2026 winner on December 27th. On January 2nd of this year we had a meeting with our Raiders organization that included our Club President Sandra Douglas Morgan to discuss our SCBCR. Since that meeting our relationship with the Raiders organization is almost back to where it was when Morris Bradshaw was our Booster Club Advisor. The doors have been opened to the organization, and to prove that, the SCBCR have now been offered a block of seats for the Chargers game at Allegiant Stadium on December 13th. This is a first for the Raiders, as these seats are very hard to come by - especially a block of seats - and at a cost of only $150. I hope as many of our 18 SCBCR clubs will take advantage of this opportunity, as this may lead to more games in the future. I want to Thank our SCBCR board members Jenny Hamilton, Kathleen Henry, Leni Manning, and Paula Sahleen Buckingham for all their hard work, and our 18 SCBCR clubs for supporting the cause. I hope my mentor, my friend, my brother Morris Bradshaw is proud of what his SCBCR has accomplished in his name and memory. Heartland Of Raider Nation, Thank You For Your Support! ◆ 2026 Kickoff Tailgate Party   Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Raiders 2026 Kickoff Tailgate Party at Plaza Park on July 25th. Thank you to Phil Villapiano for being our guest and allowing our club to be his first book signing event for his new book, Just Tackle Baby. A special Thank You to the following: Mike Hernandez and David Anaya for manning the grill all day, Blas Cisneros for helping cook the hot dogs, Johnny & Elisa Mejia for supplying the drinks and helping with the 50/50 raffle, Darrell Shelley for donating the wieners & hot dog buns, Blas & Norma Cisneros for donating the rolls, Teresa Ortiz for making the rice, Lori Gomez and Norma Cisneros for taking care of the BBQ admission table, Kim Anaya for taking care of the autograph pay table, Dashawn Pryor & Maria Hernandez for overseeing the autograph table, Raffle Chairman Darrell Shelley for taking care of our raffle table with help from Victor Patino and Jada Shelley, and Orty Castillo for helping where needed. Thank you to Art & Pearl Perez of Raiders Central Valley for their very generous donation of fireworks boxes to our raffle, and thank you Joe Belmontez and the Bakersfield Raider Boosters for their donation of the Fernando Mendoza baseball jersey to our raffle. Thank you DJ Abel for once again supplying the music and PA system. Last but not least, a special Thank You to Charles WHO?!?! Woodson Whiskey for their donation of the Charles WHO?!?! ◆ Raider Home Game - Chargers, Dec. 13th Our Las Vegas Raiders are offering the Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders a block of seats for the Chargers game at Allegiant Stadium on December 13th. Seats are located in sections 406 & 407 at a cost of $150 each. If we have enough interest from all of our SCBCR clubs, we will look into having a Raider Fan Experience on Saturday at either the Raiders headquarters or at the Stadium. All attendees are responsible for your own hotel accommodations and game day transportation. The SCBCR is collecting ticket requests from clubs until Sunday, August 9th. If you are interested in tickets, please contact the club ASAP. This is the first time the Raiders organization has offered us tickets to a home game - plus it is a division game. We are hoping for a good response from our 18 SCBCR clubs. Thank You For Your Support! | ||
◆ Fireworks Fundraiser Recap Thank you to everyone who helped support our annual scrip fireworks sale, and thank you to Rick Krekorian / Rick's Vending and Sequoia Trex for giving our Booster Club the opportunity to raise money for our club. We were able to raise $260, which we will use towards our Christmas raffle prizes for the Bethlehem Center this November. Heartland Of Raider Nation, Thank You For Your Support!!! | ||
◆ 2026/27 Membership Drive  Our 36th year as a recognized Booster Club of the Raiders is under way. We thank everyone who has renewed their memberships. Prices are $25 for a single membership (includes one shirt) and $35 for a family membership (includes 2 shirts). We do have ladies cut shirts available for ladies who do not want a regular T-shirt. ATTENTION: Once again, due to our decreasing membership numbers, we have a very limited amount of shirts available. We will do a 2nd printing in September for any sizes we are short on, so supplies are limited. If you cannot attend the meeting but would like to email your application and pay with either Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, or Zelle, please contact the club so we can secure your shirts. ◆ Intercept Wine  We have leftover bottles of Charles WHOOOO?!?! Woodson Intercept wine from our CTE Award Dinner. Bottles cost $20 each with all money raised going to the Maxx Crosby Foundation. ◆ Morris Bradshaw Scholarship    On January 3rd, 2025, we lost a great friend and mentor to all Raiders Booster Clubs when Morris Bradshaw passed away. Morris was a 2-time Super Bowl winner with the Raiders and, from 1989 through 2019, served as the Raiders Senior Administrator, Raiders Booster Club Advisor, and head of Raiders Alumni. His childhood friend Jeff Krumeich started a Morris Bradshaw Scholarship Fund in Morris's hometown of Edwardsville, Illinois. A $2,000 annual scholarship will be given out at Morris's high school to a player on the football team in honor of Morris. On September 12th, 2025, a dinner was held in Morris's hometown to officially kick off the scholarship, and on Friday, September 13th, at the high school football game, Morris's high school number 19 was officially retired. ATTENTION: On Monday, May 11th, the 1st $2,000 Morris Bradshaw Scholarship award was presented to Yale Weaver. This was an emotional presentation for the Bradshaw family, and they shared pictures with me that brought tears to my eyes. I miss my friend, my mentor, my brother - but at the same time, I am grateful that his memory will live on with this scholarship award. At our last meeting on July 9th, we raised $25.
